Tiffany Shepis is joining the cast of the "Night of the Demons" remake. Considering how vital Linnea Quigley was to the original, I guess it's only right that they'd cast her modern day equivalent. She joins an interesting cast including Diora Baird, Shannon Elizabeth and Monica Keena.

Dark comedy about a woman living in the silent film world who's cursed with the ability to speak. Now that's an original idea, if only the remake happy suits could come up with something like this.

Check out the poster for the "Friday the 13th" remake. Well, the teaser poster anyways. No missteps yet so I can't hate on this movie today.

David Goyer is talking about his big budget remake of H.G. Wells "The Invisible Man", and I like what he's dishing out. Big budget horror/adventure epic from one of the co-writers of "The Dark Knight"? Sign me up.

Pics from "Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans". The film is an origin story, telling of how the feud between the vampires and the lycans got started. Kate Beckinsale is replaced this time around by "Doomsday" star Rhona Mitra.

In Real People News:

I've heard of people ignoring the 800 pound gorilla in the room, but I can't say I've ever heard of ignoring your mother's rotting corpse for 8 years. That's just gross.

Scientists in the UK analyze possible "Yeti" hairs. Just doing my part to help you out with your daily Crypto fix.

Apparently billionaire Steve Fossett may have staged his plane crash in order to fake his own death... officially making him my hero. I'm not sure why it's so hard to find him though. If it's true that he's faked his own death, he's probably just hanging out in Cuba with Elvis and Tupac. Man, to be a fly on that wall!

On this day in history:

1974: Mama Cass Elliot, a very large part of The Mamas and the Papas, dies in London. Although initial reports ascribe the cause of death to choking on a ham sandwich, in actuality it was a heart attack.
