Santo & Captain America Vs. Spiderman

Nothing quite sets a nerd's heart aflutter like the premise of their favorite characters meeting up in situations that they shouldn't. Most of the time, these fantasies manifest themselves in a fan-comic like "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash," but occasionally, you'll find a foreign film that manages to satisfy a fantasy that you never even knew that you had. Thanks, Turkey!

"Ju-On" Game Trailer is Creepy, Kinda

As far as I know, the upcoming "Ju-On (Grudge)" game for the Wii is Japan-only, but this trailer is certainly worth a look.

Friday Fun: Crush the Castle

Let's face it, Friday is the longest day of the week. Whether you work, go to school, or leave an ass print on the couch all day, the last day before the weekend can feel twice is long. That is why I've decided to make every Friday the day of fun, by giving you an online plaything to occupy (read: waste away) your day! If this sounds like something you want me to keep up, give me a nod in the comments.

Crush The Castle

A work friend sent me this the other day, and let's just say that my productivity (in general) took a serious downward spiral. In

Play Left 4 Dead for Free This Friday!

If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of being a gamer that hasn't played "Left 4 Dead" yet, you probably should take care of that. Luckily, Valve will be putting it up on Steam for FREE this Friday. Yes, there's a catch, but it's still pretty cool:

Yes, instead of spending $40 on the game, you can spend $0. The catch? The offer's only good for a 24-hour period, and once that 24 hours is up, the "free" game will be locked, and you'll need to pay up to play up.

Dead Rising 2 Gameplay Trailer - Chainsaws!

Even though zombie games are a dime a dozen these days, I'm a bit more excited about "Dead Rising 2" than the rest. The original was an innovator in the genre when it came out for the 360 years ago, and was a hit despite it's tremendous difficulty. Late this morning, the first gameplay trailer was thrown on the hungry masses, and I like what I see, especially in the last 10 seconds or so:

"Zombies That Ate The World" Lands in the US

Fans of the Lucha Libre comic series should be quite tickled to find out that writer Jerry Frissen's other comic series "Zombies That Ate The World," has also been translated from Froggish to English, and is available stateside right now!

L4D Survival Pack First Impressions

Yesterday, Valve released their free update to "Left 4 Dead," dubbed the "Survival Pack." Included in the update are 2 multiplayer maps (that were formerly just single player maps), general bug fixes and "Survival Mode," a take on the "Horde Mode" concept from Gears of War 2 wherein you and some friends take on a barrage of zombies and aim to survive as long as possible.

Sign the Petition to Save FEARnet!

Some weeks ago, we posted the bad news that Time Warner (aka the devil incarnate) was dropping FEARnet from its programing lineup, leaving genre fans without a solid horror television channel. Last night, we received an e-mail with some information about efforts to bring it back, and thought it was important to let you guys know about it!

Amazing Short for Phillips 21:9 TV

Years ago, widescreen TV's introduced the public to the bits they had previously been missing on the right and left sides of their TV screens. With HDTV's well into the mainstream, the public has finally gotten used to a more cinematic viewing experience, but Phillips is still not satisfied, as evident by their recent unveiling of the "Cinema 21:9," a wide (wide, wide) screen television more condusive to the film-viewing experience.
