Frightfest Trailers: "Corman's World" stars schlubby Jack Nicholson

Okay so Nicholson only shows up at the very end. But holy shit, no one has ever given less of an 'eff than that guy, and I love him for it...

So there's a ton of great stuff debuting at FrightFest film festival in Glasgow in February (24th-25th). Here we have "Corman's World", a documentary on Roger Corman, probably the greatest independent director of all time. The doc looks to have a star studded cast, which isn't a surprise considering how many careers he launched.

In short, I must see this.

Horror Gaming: Minesweeper... with zombies

It has to say something about late twentieth century America that at a certain point, the computer game owned by the most households was a simulation where you practiced picking mines out of a field while trying not to blow yourself up. Granted, it wasn't exactly a graphic representation, but just think about it. Someone once sat by himself in a room and THOUGHT THAT UP. Just saying, it's weird.

Anyway, someone went and added an adorable little girl and zombies that want to eat her, and that's somehow still less disturbing to me. Available now on your various Apple devices.

Posters: "Poisoned" seems like it might have a double meaning...

"Poisoned" is an Isreali horror film that currently has no U.S. release plans. That's ok with me since I don't plan to watch it. I'm more concerned that I read the synopsis twice and it said absolutely nothing about explosive diarrhea, but that seems to be the only message I can discern from the poster. The blood, the tender way in which he's holding his cheeks closed. What else could it all mean? (click to enlarge)

Trailers: "Resident Evil: Retribution", wait, where's the rain?

Here's a leaked teaser for "Resident Evil: Retribution", the latest chance for Paul W.S. Anderson to play sexy dress up with his wife Milla Jovovich and get paid to do it. Think of it as the world's most expensive foreplay (spoiler alert: I bet it works)

Posters: There's something unsettling here...

You ever notice that Annalynne McCord looks exactly like the female Gremlin from "Gremlins 2"? Oh, you don't know who AnnaLynne McCord is? Ya, um... neither do I. Anyway, here's a one-sheet for "Bad Girl". It hits VOD and DVD on January 24th, and there is 0.00 percent chance I will watch it. Still though, nice to see Antonio Sabato Jr. getting work... You win, we will review "The Grey", aka "Liam Neeson: Wolf-fighter 3D"

We've had a grand total of "1" person ask us to review "The Grey" on the podcast, but I'll take that to mean there's a groundswell of support for this idea that just isn't being vocal. Whatever, it's the transitive property.

The director's out doing the rounds promoting the film (which comes out January 27th of this year), and he talked briefly about how everyone's favorite violent grandfather Liam Neeson got involved:

Breaking Centi-news: Facebook endorses ATM

In case you woke up this morning wondering what Facebook's stance on Human Centipeding is, wonder no longer. You can now rent "Human Centipede II: Full Sequence" on Facebook via the SundanceNOW page. That is, until some parents group gets a whiff of it and shuts that noise down. Just wait, it will happen.

Teasers: Wake me up when Indian Dracula fights Indian Michael Jackson

Horror is such a culturally specific medium, I don't think I'll ever get more than an ironic enjoyment out of a Bollywood produced horror film. That said, I admire their ability to make completely earnest films that seem like they came straight from the "Tim & Eric" cutting room floor... Like this one, "Malayalam", translated to "Dracula Again" because, why not. Besides, all I need to know about Indian cinema I learned from Indian Thriller...

Videos: See "Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" in the flesh...

"In the flesh" is a weird phrase, but it's all I could think about staring at the prosthetic makeup on Ben Walker's face. Anyway, here's your first live action look at this historical matchup via MTV. And I hate acknowledging MTV still exists so you know how much I love you to do this...

Netflix Instant: "The Impaler" will leave you scratching your head

It's a documentary... about a "vampire"... running for Governor of Minnesota. Probably the one place where a guy like that would have a chance. Watch the layers of the onion peel back on this fascinating study in self delusion.
