Night of the Drunken Zombie

My illegitimate brother Bryan from DrunkenZombie.com and his crew of merry drunkards dives into the Romero oeuvre as they look at the ENTIRE zombie cannon!

Also, they asked me to chime in with thoughts on "Dawn of the Dead"! So stand back folks, we are officially crossing the streams.

(Bryan, I don't have any money to loan ya, but you're welcome to the couch. Brothers are one thing, but you're on your own for beer!)

Del Toro Made Official Hobbit

It seems fitting, cause he kinda looks like one!

New Line Cinema makes the official announcement that Guillermo DelToro will be the director for "The Hobbit" and it's sequel.

Mistakes Were Made...

For you podcast junkies out there, many of you may be familiar with Ira Glass and Chicago Public Radio's "This American Life". Always an informative and introspective look at America and those that live with in it, this week's episode provides a bit of real life horror that is pretty damn disturbing in hindsight.

Venture Brothers Season 3 Preview

Video escapes from the NY Comic Con, the exclusive 5 minute preview of Venture Brothers Season 3!

Quite possibly my most anticipated TV show of the season, VB 3 looks to be well worth the wait!

Oneechanbara: The Movie

Well. Well well well. "Oneechanbara The Movie"

No clue what it's about really, but by that poster? I don't give a shit. I just pre-ordered tickets. Added bonus? If it gets the American remake treatment, there's a strong chance it'll be Sarah Michelle Gellar in that getup. Now that's a win win situation.

My Otaku buddy Tommy helped me to decipher the page. His response?

Cowgirl samurai? Check.

Schoolgirl apprentice? Big check.

Zombies? Oh yeah.

Earthquake in Indiana!

Yes, you read that right: at 5:40 am (roughly) Indiana was rocked by a 5.2 magnitude Earthquake!

Sure, sure... a lot of you are thinking 'uh...so?' Keep in mind though, this is Indiana. This isn't something that happens here every day!

"Jackboots for Jesus"

You see folks, this whole 'horror movie blogger' thing started as a lead in to another dream. For years I've said "I want to be a writer.", then never did anything about it. So, I started writing about movies. While I still love writing about movies, I needed more. Thus my 'short story' career was started.

It's been in the starting phases for a long time now.

So goes the biz though. Many rejections later, I received this tasty nugget in my inbox this afternoon:

Ingrid Pitt: The Queen of Scream

Please Note: I've kept this as work safe as possible, be beware: thar be cleavage below!

Scream Queens have been around for long time, some would say as far back as Elsa Lanchester in 1935. For the modern era, these ladies normally gain their title after a slew of movies in their portfolio, both good and bad with memorable performances in all.
