Zombie Strippers DVD Review

The Movie

As covered back in former episode of Midnight Muenster, "Zombie Strippers" is a pretty damn good flick all around. From the press release:

October Challenge 4

The days grow shorter and so does my attention span. As we reach the far side of the October Challenge, my mind becomes clouded and my constitution runs thin! I like movies, I really like horror movies... It still starts to get hard after 21 days straight, non stop!

As we stand right now, we're exactly 10 days from Halloween and the end of the October Challenge. To help get me threw the twilight of my attention span, it will soon be time to break out the real meat and potatoes, such as a glut of "Friday the 13th", "Nightmares" and "Halloween" of course!

I suffer from Earworms

And now you can too!

Earworm = "is a term for a portion of a song or other musical material that becomes "stuck" in a person's "head" or repeats against one's will within one's mind."

Hell Ride DVD Review

The Movie

"Bad-ass biker Pistolero (Larry Bishop) hits the road to avenge the killing of his lover Cherokee Kisum (Julia Jones) by a rival motorcycle gang the 666ers, along with his brother The Gent (Michael Madsen) and the mysterious Comanche (Eric Balfour)."

Okay folks, pay close attention here. What you're about to watch is what a mid life crisis is going to feel like when the time comes for you.

The Strangers DVD Review

The Movie

A Look Back at Young Frankenstein

Everybody knows and loves the 1974 Mel Brooks classic, "Young Frankenstein". It's a movie that should be a staple of any movie nerds collection, drug out to watch at least once a year. It's simply that good of a movie. A combination of the talent involved, written by comedy god Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder, as well as an A level cast make this movie one for the ages. Through in the fact that their goal was to lampoon a horror classic in its own right, Universals "Frankenstein", there's just something to love for every genre afficianado out there.

October Challenge 3

Seven days...

My body grows weak as I slowly succumb to the insanity my life has become. I can't think straight anymore...my wife hasn't moved nor made any sound in at least two days. I'm afraid of what I've become. I'm afraid of what will come next... Someone else may die...if I don't find the god damn remote!

Ridley Scott to return to his SciFi Roots

The SciFi Wire reports today that Fox2000 has acquired the rights to Joe Haldeman's 1974 science fiction novel, "The Forever War". This will be Scott's first science fiction film since he directed "Blade Runner" and "Alien".

This folks, is news that makes my day!

"The Forever War" has long been one of my top 10 novels. This is one of those books that I tend to drag out and re-read at least once a year. It's that good.

The October Challenge #2

Well folks, the the pain and suffering continues as October rolls along; so far I'm still alive! I've decided this week to break these challenge posts up because otherwise, you're going to have a HELL of a lot of reading to do on Friday! The truth is, I'm an addict. I make up this big song and dance about an October Challenge, but it's not that far from real life! So for today we have the next six entries into the challenge books! Cabin 12 has taken on the challenge, who else is brave enough to take part!

Reader beware: below be scares! (And crap!)
